When a tooth genuinely needs to come out, we take it seriously — and we take our time.
Most extractions in our office are routine, but none of them are trivial. We walk you through what to expect, numb thoroughly, and don’t start until you tell us you’re ready.
If your extraction is part of a larger plan (an implant, a denture, orthodontics), we think through the next step before we start — so the site heals in a way that sets up what’s coming.
Severe decay or infection past the point of saving. Advanced gum disease with significant bone loss. Fractured teeth that can’t be restored. Impacted or problematic wisdom teeth. Crowding that requires space for orthodontics.
Clear, printed post-op instructions. Our number is on the sheet. Most patients do very well with ibuprofen and a quiet day; we’ll prescribe stronger medication only if genuinely needed. Follow-up is a phone call, not a mandatory visit, unless something seems off.
Gentle, honest dentistry in the heart of Oak Bay. We’ll take it from here.
